Unica Insurance has announced a one-time Covid-19 Premium Relief Refund for all Private Passenger Automobile policies as part of its pandemic relief package.

All Personal Insurance automobile policyholders will automatically receive this refundwhich is equivalent to 15% of three months premium effective 1 April 2020.

The company is expected to announce the details regarding timing and method of payment in the coming days.

In addition to the 15% premium refund, the policyholders also have the option to endorse their policy to recognise the cessation of driving such as removal of road coverage.

Apart from immediate across-the-board rate relief for Private Passenger Automobile, the company has also allowed deferrals on premium payments on a case-by-case basis.

As part Covid-19 relief package, Unica also waives NSF fees for all customers until further notice.

Unica has pledged 100% of its charitable funds provided by the La Capitale Foundation to pandemic relief efforts.

The company backed Mississauga’s Trillium Health Partners Foundation for the purchase of 3D printers to produce face shields and other PPE items.
