IDC Worldsource Insurance Network (IDC WIN) has acquired Aurrea Signature, a Quebec-based managing general agency (MGA).

Aurrea, which was formed in 1999, backs around 1200 contracted advisors across Quebec. It offers them a wide array of insurance products and business growth resources.

IDC WIN president Phil Marsillo said “This transaction is a significant development in IDC WIN’s strategic goal to be the primary MGA in the independent advice channel across Canada.

“We are excited to expand our footprint in Quebec, collaborating with the Aurrea leadership team to deliver service excellence and end-to-end financial solutions in the region.”

Aurrea will retain its leadership team and staff post acquisition. The team will be led by Christian Laroche, who will now assume the role of president for Quebec Operations of IDC WIN.
