National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL) has formed a national dental and vision insurance business in collaboration with New York-based Insurance Capital Group (ICG).

ICG, via its Federal Life Group affiliate, and NGL have collectively developed and launched the business, which will offer its services under BrightBenefits brand.

BrightBenefits will provide both employee paid and employer dental and vision policies. It plans to launch additional policies in future as the business expands.

Commercial Travelers Insurance Company, an affiliate of NGL, will issue BrightBenefits insurance policies.

As part of the collaboration with NGL, Federal Life has made an equity investment in Commercial Travelers Insurance Company, which is subject to regulatory approval.

NGL president and CEO Knut Olson said: “This new strategic partnership with ICG allows NGL to diversify its investments into new markets without losing its focus on being a leading provider of preneed insurance for customers nationwide.
