Coig, who joined Security Life in July 2012, previously held the position of account executive. In that role, he fostered relationships with many of the company’s key strategic partners.

Coig has 15 years of insurance and sales experience to his new position. He spent much of his career with Allianz Life, where he served as an external wholesaler for several years in which he sold annuities in the independent, wire house and bank channels throughout the southeast region.

Previous to that, Coig served as a director of business development with the organization. In that role he developed and executed sales focused business plans to increase premium at a national level and managed product training and recruitment activities with field marketing organizations.

Commenting on the appointment, Security Life senior vice president of sales, Dennis Vann, said: "I am confident that Coig’s sales drive and leadership skills will increase our momentum to profitably grow Security Life business. He has been a key contributor to the sales team and organization thus far. I look forward to his contributions in this new role."
