Global risk adviser, insurance and reinsurance broker Willis Group is planning to debut its new complete security platform, Cyber ATLAS, to assist UK firms to combat the threat of cyber crime.

Designed to create flexibility across an entire company, the new toolkit enables companies to tackle fraud and online attacks, which cost small businesses £780m annually, as per a research report by the Federation of Small Businesses.

The tool has been developed by Willis in collaboration with Nick Gibbons, a cyber, information technology and intellectual property law specialist at BLM, and Gordon Walker, who is a lead investigator on IT claims at Charles Taylor and E-Security Exchange.

Cyber ATLAS consists e-Learning for all levels of employees, an online self-audit allowing organizations to test their current levels of security and a 24/7 incident response service and advice in the event of a cyber-breach.

Willis FINEX National practice leader Jonathan Brooks said, "Cyber criminals know that larger multinationals have the infrastructure to fight cyber crime so they often target the IT network and vulnerabilities of a small company to get into the network of the multinational."

Gordon Walker stated, "Cyber ATLAS focuses on prevention first to provide a means of improving the overall level of cyber security for UK business.
