Oman-based BankDhofar is launching a new cash withdrawal service that does not require consumers to use cards at ATMs, as part of its strategy to develop and implement new banking solutions.

The withdrawal process is facilitated through a secure code sent by BankDhofar to customer’s mobile devices, rather than a debit card.

In order to use the service, customers must first download BankDhofar’s mobile banking app. Enter the app by using login credentials and select the cardless cash option. Customers must then select the account to be debited and create a four-digit PIN, following which the debit amount should be submitted.

BankDhofar eBanking head, Marwan Mohammed Al Zadjali, said they promised their customers new services in mobile banking and they are delivering on that promise.

"Our aim is to provide products and services that fit in seamlessly with the daily lives of our customers. But these services need to match and exceed their expectations; they need to adapt to the increasingly changing technological trends that have become part of modern-day living," Al Zadjali added.

The BankDhofar mobile banking application is compatible with Android and iPhone devices.
