GetInsured, a US-based health insurance broker, has acquired ACAExpress and its sister brand, Benefit Geek, which work with insurance brokers to facilitate enrolments under the Affordable Care Act.

GetInsured believes that the acquisition will enable the company to extend its health insurance ecommerce solutions for group, individual and Medicare enrolment and to offer comprehensive SaaS capabilities to independent agents and agencies, as well as support insurance carrier retail channels.

Currently, ACAExpress serves a customer base of 8,000 brokers and enrolled more than 500,000 consumers into affordable health insurance plans through its platform.

Building on the acquisition, GetInsured plans to launch a comprehensive quoting and enrolment platform that will expand the company’s Medicare business.

Furthermore, the company will roll out individual health, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, life and ancillary insurance plans.

Upon completion of acquisition, ACAExpress founders Chris Linville, Don Archer and Kenny West will remain with GetInsured as senior vice president and general manager of broker business, engineering director, and vice president of broker engagement, respectively.

The ACAExpress and Benefit Geek teams will continue to operate from their current headquarters in Dallas.
