UK-based company Willis Towers Watson’s IT hiring rose 2.8% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 0.31% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 12.62% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.45% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Willis Towers Watson IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Willis Towers Watson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.33% in August 2021, and a 57.38% rise over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 18.33% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 25%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.67% in August 2021, a 600% rise from July 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Willis Towers Watson

North America emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 45.56% share, which marked a 36.67% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 26.67%, registering a 41.18% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 21.67% share and a 34.48% rise over July 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 5% and a month-on-month decline of 25%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.11%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 42.78% share in August 2021, a 32.76% growth over July 2021. The UK featured next with a 20.56% share, up 37.04% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 16.11% share, an increase of 31.82% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Willis Towers Watson IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.67%, up by 23.21% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.33% share, a growth of 60% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.89% share, up 100% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.11%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
