India’s insurance industry registered a 27.4% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 36.98% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.02% share in August 2021, recording a decrease of 9.77% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s insurance industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.6% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s insurance industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.83% in August 2021, registering a 24.36% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 15.38% share, an increase of 4.76% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.69%, registering an 8.33% decline from July 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 5.59%, down 11.11% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 13.75% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s insurance industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Bajaj Finserv posted 47 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Swiss Re with 15 jobs and a 34.78% drop. Willis Towers Watson with 13 IT jobs and Zurich Insurance Group with 8 jobs, recorded a 30% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Old Mutual recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.03%, up by 49.28% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.48% share, registered a decline of 22.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.5% share, down 16.67% over July 2021.
