Germany’s insurance industry registered a 9.7% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 10.77% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.72% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.1% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s insurance industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.97% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s insurance industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 52.27% in August 2021, registering a 21.05% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 22.73% share, an increase of 20% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.64%, registering a flat growth from July 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.55%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 17.65% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s insurance industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Allianz posted 62 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 17.33% over the previous month, followed by Zurich Insurance Group with 38 jobs and a flat growth. Unum Group with 9 IT jobs and AXA with 6 jobs, recorded a 10% decline and a 60% decrease, respectively, while Hannover Ruck recorded an increase of 150% with 5 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.42%, up by 15.58% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.45% share, registered an increase of 17.39% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.82% share, down 30.77% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 5.3%, recording a month-on-month increase of 133.33%.
